The project will bring together a mix partners from three EU countries that include, a local government authority, an adult education organisation, private adult training provider and an ICT specialist in adult training software programs in key competences and basic skills. The project partners have, between them, the relevant experience, expertise and links required to the NEET community to deliver the work and fulfill the aims of the project. The aim of this consortium is to significantly decrease the numbers of young adults who are NEETs by offering them better training.


Project Partners Who’s Who?

Teachsport Management Ltd. is an SME based in London that delivers training projects throughout the South East of England and is the coordinator of the project. Teachsport delivers training that creates healthy lifestyles for young people and helps disadvantaged young people to re-engage in the community and increase their self worth and leadership potential. Teachsport delivers training programs designed to increase the opportunity of long term employment for young people. Teachsport is contracted by local authorities to run sports activities for schools and organises sporting events in collaboration with schools during weekends and holiday periods where the children, teachers volenteers NEETs and parents come together and bring support and a community spirit to the area. Teachsport have a dedicated team of experienced and qualified Adult education tutors, teachers and assessors who support all the accredited UK sport qualifications.

Sea Teach S.L. is an SME and Spanish Limited Company registered and based in the Port of Cala D'or, Mallorca, Spain and is the co-coordinator of the project. The company has operated within the marine sector for over 14 years both as a Sea School and as a Motor Boat Charter Business. The Sea School is recognised by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). The RYA is the UK's national organisation responsible for issuing certification to  boaters whether they be professionals or for pleasue that wish to operating vessels up to 24 meters. The Sea School offers a range of both vocational  and adult training courses to students who come from many different EU countries and who's ages range from 16 years upwards. Sea Teach has previously worked together with three of the four partners on other projects where working with NEETs has been the focus that brought the team together.

Lewisham Young Mayor is a department within Lewisham Borough Council which is a London Borough local Government Authority responsible for administering local services in the local area, such as schools, social services, waste collection and roads. Lewisham’s Mayor, Sir Steve Bullock, was one of the first elected mayors in the UK and his vision will pursue working with the Council, partner organisations and individual groups in the community in order to deliver his priorities. “The Mayor's NEET programme” is a free service for young people from the local community aged between 16 and 19 - who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET). The programme provides training courses to teach the basic skills and key competences to create the opportunity to gain the skills and confidence to compete for jobs, return to education or start further training. The programme runs for 8 weeks and involves team building activities, volunteer work placement, CV building, interview techniques and a 5-day residential experience. The participants will have the opportunity to gain up to 15 AQA Certificates, a Level 1 Sports Coaching Certificate and a Level 2 Certificate in the essentials of working with young people. “Lewisham Young Mayor's programme” Lewisham has many years of experience of working with young people around these issues, via the Youth Service, Community Sector, Colleges at a local, regional, national and European level. Lewisham Borough Council is committed to continuing the improvement of the services they offer. Amongst the councils many priorities that support young people, it will:

• introduce more apprenticeships and training schemes for NEETs.
• Support social enterprises to create more work opportunities for NEETS.

The Center of Education and Enterprise Support (CEES) is an non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 30.06.2004 by group of entrepreneurs, teachers, social activists and IT specialists from Rzeszów. CEES association cooperates with businesses, universities, schools, enterprises and educational institutions operating as the associated partners. CEES has experience in organising a complex support for people at different stages of their lives, from childhood to elder age. It promotes entrepreneurship to young people at school as well as to those who already run their businesses. The association also supports victims of violence, not only on informative level, but more importantly on material support level. A number of conferences devoted to the violence-related topics were organised locally and regionaly. By organising specially designed trainings, CEES has helped victims of violence in social reinsertion. The Mission of CEES association is to increase the quality of education training at all levels and in all its forms as well as to promote entrepreneurship in order to foster integration of any social group regardless of gender, age and ethnic origin.
